In this Episode of the podcast we are speaking to Greg O’Gallagher of Kinobody. He’s the creator of Aggressive Fat Loss, a program designed to get you shredded, fast, without giving up your favorite foods or carrying Tupperware packed with chicken and broccoli.
Although intermittent fasting has been around for a while, Greg has devised his own strategy for implementing it into your life that makes getting lean more enjoyable.
What Is Intermittent Fasting (IF)?
An umbrella term for various diets that cycle between a period of fasting and non-fasting.
The Aggressive Fat Loss Approach
In Aggressive Fat Loss, Greg recommends pushing breakfast back into the (late) afternoon while blunting hunger with a nice cup of coffee (something that I have been doing for years and love).
For your first meal – you feast like a king!
I love this idea of feasting when dieting because it does a few things.
- It eliminates the restrictive feeling of dieting
- It allows you to remain full and satisfied for a long period of time.
- Allows you to maintain a caloric deficit without (necessarily) tracking your calories.
Cardio? – Is that Spanish?
Another thing I really like about Greg’s approach is, no long hours on the treadmill. The idea of Aggressive Fat Loss is to keep you in a caloric deficit, (without having to avoid your favorite foods) over time.
This is done by (1) strategic intermittent fasting and (2) intense weight training. And although cardio is probably optional, it’s certainly not required.
